About The Broker
Hi. I’m Marc Kelley. My first job after graduating from Marquette
University in Milwaukee was with the JCPenney Company. My career
progressed nicely and after two years I was invited to transfer
to the corporate offices in New York City. I was responsible for
the marketing, forecasting and managing of various merchandise lines
for the Company’s Catalog Division. In the mid-80’s
the Company chose to relocate to Dallas, Texas and I was asked to
relocate. I said, “Thanks, but no thanks.” I retired,
and began my second career. I couldn’t be happier.
I had lived in Cranford for 16 years and driven some pretty deep
roots. Marion and I had raised three daughters and been involved
in countless community activities – most, though not all,
focused on children. These included Memorial Day and Halloween parades,
Twiggy League softball, Girl Scouts, Indian Princesses (a father-daughter
activity with a winter encampment weekend) swim meets and block
parties. The girls took ballet and jazz dance classes, had lessons
in tennis, diving, horseback riding and ice-skating.
I’ve done the things that make a person part of the community,
rather than someone who simply lives in a community. I was twice
elected to the School Board and served two terms. If you want to
know more about the schools, I can help you. I was asked to write
a column for the local newspaper and have pulled some of the columns
that might help you learn more about our community.
When I started my real estate career nearly 20 years
ago, I was a pretty nervous fellow. I had no idea how it would turn
out. I’ve worked hard, been more than a little fortunate and
I’ve earned the respect and trust that’s necessary to
be successful. If you have questions or would like to learn more
about Cranford, please email me and I’ll get back to you as
soon as I pick up your note. Feel free to call me on my cellular
phone – the number is 908-884-6476. Thanks.
